This is the Debian package for Serendipity. It was created by
Thijs Kinkhorst <thijs@debian.org>, who's also the current maintainer.

The upstream tarball contains two fonts, plugins/serendipity_event_spamblock/chumbly.ttf
and plugins/serendipity_event_spamblock/36daysago.ttf, whose licence did not
allow selling without permission from the author. I've contacted the upstream author
to clarify this issue, and received the following response on 7 Nov 2006:

Hi,

  Sure go right ahead.
========

The file plugins/serendipity_event_browsercompatibility/pngbehavior.htc is
under the following copyright:
This script was created by Erik Arvidsson (http://webfx.eae.net/contact.html#erik)
  for WebFX (http://webfx.eae.net) Copyright 2002-2004
For usage see license at http://webfx.eae.net/license.html
At that site, we find quite some licences, but the bottom line is that in 2004 the
code was triple-licenced under the WebFX Non Commercial License, the WebFX Commercial
License and the GNU GPL. In any case the latter is DFSG-free.
On Debian systems, the full text of the GPL can be found in
/usr/share/common-licenses/GPL

The files plugins/serendipity_event_textile/textile.php and classTextile.php are
Copyright (c) 2003-2004, Dean Allen, with additions and fixes Copyright (c) 2006
Alex Shiels http://thresholdstate.com/
Licenced under a BSD-style licence like above.
On Debian systems, the full text of the BSD licence can be found in
/usr/share/common-licenses/BSD

The file plugins/serendipity_event_livesearch/serendipity_event_livesearch.js is
Copyright (c) 2004 Bitflux GmbH and licensed under the Apache License, Version
2.0 (the "License"); you may not use this file except in compliance with the License.
On Debian systems, you can find a copy of the licence under
/usr/share/common-licenses/Apache-2.0

Upstream contains a dir 'bundled-libs' with an assortment of PHP (PEAR) libraries.
We use these only when there's no Debian package available. For completeness' sake,
here's the licences of all libs:
