Using the program Krename, it is possible to rename multiple files according to a naming scheme which you define.
Krename can be easily installed with the Adept Package Manager. Krename is located in the Universe repositories. Refer to the Adept Package Manager

Usually, most archive files can be opened by simply clicking on the file. However, to handle rar files, follow the following steps.
Install the unrar package from the Multiverse repositories using the the Adept Package Manager. Refer to the Adept Package Manager
