WYSIWYG mode . Authoring in this mode is very close to working with a conventional word processor. A document is rendered very close to its published view. XSL stylesheets do their best to represent a document conveniently without markup tags, but sometimes the author may need to display markup.
Text mode . This mode is for plain text editing. It is convenient for specific XML source code editing (e.g. manually fixing invalid XML documents). Authoring is not recommended in Text mode.
